Merz, Scholz address Ukraine war at rallies
Top chancellor candidates Friedrich Merz of the conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Olaf Scholz of the center-left Social Democrats (SPD) addressed rallies in the run-up to Sunday vote, pledging continued support to Ukraine and criticizing US President Donald Trump’s remarks on the war with Russia.
