The extreme flooding in Woodburn, New South Wales, was clear to see in video posted on March 2, as severe conditions continued in the state and in Queensland. Paul Stanley-Jones recorded this video as he made his way through the flood-struck town. The video shows floodwater almost reaching the top of a viewing stand next to a local soccer field. In his post on March 2, Stanley-Jones said the town and its surrounds were “devastated,” and that nobody “would have ever imagined what has happened.” The Bureau of Meteorology said flooding in the area had reached “record or near record levels,” and issued a major flood warning for Thursday.
