The body of a man has been retrieved from Wattamolla lagoon in Sydney’s Royal National Park.
- Police recovered the man’s body about 6:20pm on Monday
- A report will be prepared for the coroner
- A woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and is in a stable condition
Emergency services arrived at the scene after 5:00pm on Monday following reports two people had got into difficulties after jumping from a rock into the lagoon.
The rock and lagoon is a popular swimming spot and is heavily frequented in the summer months.
NSW Police said they recovered the body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, about 6:20pm.
NSW Police confirmed a woman, also believed to be aged in her 20s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
She was in a stable condition.
NSW Police said officers from the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and have commenced an investigation.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
