A man’s cause of death has been determined by a post-mortem as ‘extreme orgasm’ after he died while visiting a sex worker in Phalombe, Malawi.
The deceased, named in a report from Phalombe Police Publicist Innocent Moses as one Charles Majawa, lost consciousness after having sex with the woman in the town’s trading district, and died shortly afterwards.
The woman involved discussed the matter with some of her colleagues before reporting the death to police.
The police and a medical examiner from Migowi Health Centre viewed the body and confirmed on August 18 2020 that Mr Majawa, 35, had in fact died while in the act.
A postmortem listed the cause of death as being due to “excessive orgasm which caused blood vessels in the brain to rupture.”
Police confirmed that the woman would not be held liable for Majawa’s death and no charges would be raised.
According to local newspaper Nyasa Times the poor man “died of too much sexual excitement and sweetness.”
Senior Chief Kaduya reports that Mr Majawa’s body was taken back to his home village of Matepwe.
The tragic incident has become something of a national joke in Malawi, with social media posts about the incident going viral for months.
Many have enquired what exactly the professional lady might have been doing to get such a dramatic result.
Photoshopped images of packets of sugar marked “Phalombe sugar, take at your own risk” and a photo of a car overloaded with blokes captioned “Phalombe here we come” have saturated Malawian Facebook.
