Two men wearing clown masks are reported to have invaded a house at Bray Park, north of Brisbane, and shot a man in the face.
Police said the occupant in his 40s suffered facial injuries when the two men invaded the property earlier this afternoon.
They said the intruders were reportedly wearing clown masks and hi-vis vests and believed to have been carrying “an unknown firearm” as well as a taser.
According to police, the two men entered the man’s home and threatened him, before shooting him in the forehead.
The injured man was transported to hospital with what have been described as superficial wounds.
Police said the alleged assailants were not known to the man and were dropped off at the property by a grey car.
One other person was in the house at the time.
Police are still at the scene of the incident.
They have urged anyone with information to contact them immediately.
