Manny Pacquiao is back in the ring on Sunday (AEST) after two years away as he looks to add another ridiculous feat to his resume.
Pacquiao, 42, takes on late call-up Yordenis Ugas inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the WBA welterweight title after Errol Spence Jr. was forced out of the match-up with injury.
The Philippines senator is the only eight-division world champion in history, and will look to win a title fight in a fourth different decade; 23 years on from his first title.
Watch Pacquiao vs Ugas live on Main Event, available on Foxtel and Kayo on Sunday 22 August at 11am AEST. ORDER NOW >
Pacquiao was controversially stripped of the WBA title on grounds of “inactivity” earlier this year despite the global disruption to boxing caused by the pandemic.
The WBA instead handed the belt to Ugas, a fact that upset Pacquiao.
“I didn’t like that someone took my belt without challenging me in the ring,” he said.
“Both of us are champions, but we’ll see who has the belt after [Sunday].”
Pacquiao will have his chance to set the record straight in a matter of hours.
