Loyalty schemes are a great way for Brits to save money on their weekly food shop and many stores offer them to customers.
But now supermarket giant Morrisons has announced huge changes to its More loyalty programme.
Currently customers can pick up five points for every £1 point spent at the supermarket giant.
And once you’ve collected 5,000 points, a £5 voucher will be awarded which can be redeemed on groceries.
But now the popular store has announced to shoppers that its loyalty scheme will be scrapped from May 10.
That means the final day for customers to collect points will be May 9.
Instead of collecting points each time they shop, customers will be offered digital coupons via the Morrisons More app.
The retailer says these rewards will be personalised based on the person’s shopping habits.
From May 10, shoppers can continue to use their existing card but it won’t collect any points.
But from this date customers will need to download the app in order to access their rewards.
For those who have built up 5,000 points, there are new rules in place for when you turn it into a £5 voucher.
Some customers choose to have it printed in store, while others choose to do it manually.
Shoppers who ask for it to be done manually have until August 9 to use up their points or they risk losing them.

Under the current scheme, if you forget your Morrisons More card you can have the points added to your receipt instead.
On its website, the supermarket said: “With Morrisons More, we are always listening to our valued customers, taking feedback on how we can improve the experience.
“What we’ve heard is that you’d like your rewards to be immediate, including discounts and money off your next shop.
“We also learned that you want to give back to your local community and to support environmental causes by going paper and plastic free wherever possible.”
