If you love hot cross buns, but fancy trying something different with them this Easter, then why not try out this handy food hack from Marks & Spencer.
The brand took to its Instagram account to share a simple cooking recipe which turns their hot cross buns into churros – and fans can’t get enough.
Addressing it’s 1.9million followers on the site, M&S wrote: “Ant two packs of our delicious hot cross buns are just £2.50 in-store.
“And if you’re looking for a treat, why not slice into strips, fry and coat in cinnamon sugar to make churros – they taste amazing served with a warm chocolate dipping sauce!”
To get taste buds going, M&S shared a snap of the churros being dipped into the choccy sauce, and we have to admit it looked pretty heavenly!
The brand also shared the full recipe with customers.
This says you’ll need double cream, chocolate, maple syrup, sugar and butter alongside the hot cross buns and cinnamon.
Fans were loving the sound of the churros, with the post racking up more than 7,000 likes.
One wrote: “Have to try this, sounds so yummy.”
While another exclaimed: “What an idea!”
A third chimed in, simply writing: “Yes please.”
The recipe seems to have gone down somewhat better than when Asda suggested avocado and egg filled hot cross buns on its Instagram page last month.
The supermarket suggested the non-traditional Easter fillings would be perfect in its tomato and Red Leicester buns.
However, not everyone was a fan, with one shopper writing “just no” on the post.
As well as tons of hot cross bun flavours in stores these days, many supermarkets are branching out even further this Easter, with Aldi selling hot cross bun flavoured gin liqueur this Easter, which looks delicious.
