Alesha Dixon admits being a parent is a daily grind to stay calm but says becoming a mother saved her from “burnout”.
The Britain’s Got Talent star is mum to Azura, eight, and Anaya, two, after starting a family aged 34, when she reveals juggling work and her social life had started to become trickier.
Alesha, now 43, says: “Having a daughter really just reins me in a little bit. Because you’re thinking about them first.
“I realised there’s only so long, you can party, party, party before you burnout, and juggling work and having fun and going out.
“I had my first daughter at 34. I think she was the making of me.”
She was speaking at Glamour magazine’s Weekender event, where she discussed her range of wellness supplements.
Alesha said her daughters, who she shares with husband Azuka Ononye, inspire her and she wants to be the best version of herself.
She added: “I want them to grow up in a loving, stable, fun household.
“But my goodness, they test your patience as well…”
