A mum-of-one who ate McDonald’s every day while pregnant has dropped six stone using a military-style fitness regime post-delivery.
Alex Moore, 24, from Australia, gained five-and-a-half stone while expecting baby Alora who is now 20 months old.
But, tired of having a “mum tum” and weighing 13st 3lb Alex decided to get into shape and gave up burgers for healthy meals.
The new mum began to follow a “strict military regime” where she went to the gym at 5am, walked for kilometres at a time and exercised for two and half hours a day.
But, the hard work paid off as Alex shed six stone in just nine months – and is now in better shape than before her pregnancy.
The mum said: “I really stacked on the weight – I was working long hours as a dental nurse and would eat McDonald’s at least once a day.
“I was starting early I’d usually get hash brown, egg and bacon muffin and hot chocolate for breakfast.
“And then for lunch I’d order a Quarter Pounder or Big Mac meal, a chocolate sundae and extra chicken nuggets with mayo.
“My mental health throughout most of my pregnancy was fine, however I did struggle towards the end realising how much weight I had gained and not recognising myself.”
But, after giving birth she felt uncomfortable with her body.
Alex said: “I didn’t want to go out anywhere to show her off, I just wanted to hide away.
“I felt guilty I’d given birth to a beautiful baby girl but I was so embarrassed about how I looked so never wanted my picture taken with her.”
So, the mum threw herself into a new gym routine.
She commented: “I worked my a** off at the gym going at 5am every morning and going for 6km walks every day.
“At first I was really strict on my diet. I probably went too hard. I’ve now worked out a healthy relationship with food and exercise.
“Before I was only eating three small meals a day. Now I have larger meals and snacks.
“I don’t really count macros, or calories. I just try to eat mainly whole foods, regularly.
“I eat three main meals a day and have a snack in the morning which may be a protein bar, protein shake or a bit of fruit.
“In the afternoon I snack on a yoghurt but I try to listen to my body.
“I no longer turn down opportunities to eat out, and enjoy treats without guilt.”

Alex also stopped doing as many cardio and HIIT workouts and instead focused on weight training which helped her tone up as she dropped the weight.
Now, she’s given up her dental nurse job to be an OnlyFans model and TikTok influencer.
She said: “I saw it as a good source of income being a single mum having my daughter majority of the time.
“Now I can spend my days with Alora, and still make a good income.”
Alex shared a video documenting her weight loss to her 256,000 TikTok followers, @alexpaigemoore.
Alex added: “I really want to show other mums what you can achieve when you set goals and are determined enough to achieve them.
“I also want people to know that it’s important not to neglect self-care just because you’re a mother – you’re allowed to treat yourself and do things just for yourself.”
