A real estate agent warned of a “red flag” danger when a partner asked to put their name into the house.
Erika Strong, who works with her husband in Indiana, shared one of her clients’ experience who recently bought a house.
She took it to TikTok and wrote: “My boyfriend just moved in with me, I bought this home a year ago by myself.
“He wants me to add him to the title since he will be paying for stuff around the house.”
And she responded with a piece of advice in captions, saying: “No, tell him it’s just a piece of paper.”
Her post also triggered a lot of women sharing their opinion in comments and Erika added: “Love to see so many smart women on the comments!”
One wrote: “Ask him to re-finance half the current market value in his name and that cash come to you.”
A second said: “‘Paying for stuff around the house?’ He needs to be paying rent! If not at your house, then somewhere else. He’s trying to pull a fast one on you.”
“Tell him he’s making husband requests on a boyfriend’s salary,” a third joked while a fourth said it might be better if the woman starts looking for a new boyfriend now.

Some agreed it’s a huge “red flag” as a viewer shared her friend’s situation as an example, explaining: “She is going through divorce, she got the house before marriage but now he says he is entitled to its ‘growth value’.”
Meanwhile, another woman shared another “red flag” in dating when she went on a first date with a man.
Tonni was horrified when she hopped onto his car and realised the passenger’s seat was surrounded by a pile of rubbish.
