It looks as if we may be gearing up for a PlayStation event in February, that is if murmurings heard by writer and reputable tipster Tom Henderson turn out to bear fruit.
Speaking on Twitter, Henderson mentioned that the current rumour is that Sony’s next event looks like it may be in February and that it has the potential to be a ‘’pretty big one”.
This tracks as February is typically when Sony opts to do some of its bigger State of Plays, like last year where Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Sifu were both revealed, alongside confirmation that Oddworld: Soulstorm was releasing as part of April’s PlayStation Plus.
Like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart before it, a gameplay deep dive of Horizon Forbidden West is likely to be one of the main showpieces as is par for the course with Sony ahead of major releases. What else could be involved is anyone’s guess, though we wouldn’t expect any mention of PSVR 2 just yet as we’re just fresh from its appearance at CES.
