Asked by US gossip site The Shaderooom who he considers the love of his life, Cannon, who married the singer in 2008, said: “Like the greatest?
“I mean, I always talk about that. Then it goes viral, and our fans get mad at me.
“But I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall, and that becomes my wife. And the fact that she’s the coolest person I ever met.” “
Cannon, 42, who is now a father of 12 with various women, married Carey, 53, in 2008.
The pair share two children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, aged 11. They split in 2014, and their divorce was finalised in 2016.
He also credited the We Belong Together star for his jovial personality. “I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her,” he said.
“She’s just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what’s happening in life.
“I’m like, ‘Wow, a person can really operate like that and don’t allow negative energy into their space.’
“When I found out about how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She’s a gift from God.”
But while Cannon gushed over his ex-wife, it doesn’t appear that the feeling is mutual.
Carey is said to not be happy with Cannon having had ten children with multiple women shince their 2016 divorce.
She reportedly filed for primary custody of her twins in January citing her ex-husband’s fathering of several children as the cause.
The singer said allegedly told the courts that she should be primary caregiver as Cannon can’t be present most of the time for important moments and decisions because his parental commitments leave him stretched too thin.
