Former Nickelodeon star Darris Love was arrested on Christmas Eve following a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend.
The 42-year-old actor, who is best known for playing Ray Alvarado on the ’90s-TV series The Secret World of Alex Mack, had a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend in his Los Angeles home.
She claimed he hit her in the back of her head during an argument, according to TMZ.
The publication added that the fight began after she stopped by Love’s home to pick up some items. that the victim ‘was not injured and there were no visible marks.’
Police arrested Love, however, after bail was set at $20,000 (£16,563) he was released on bond.
Following his release on Saturday, Love took to social media but did not address his legal issues, instead wishing his followers ‘HAPPY HOLY DAYS 🕎 👑KINGS & QUEENS.’
Speaking to the camera from inside of his car, the actor told meandering stories and invited friends and family to join the video live – some of whom did.
‘Let’s love one another,’ he said in the video where he also warned fans to step away from material items.
Love’s first credited role was in the 1994 comedy horror Shrunken Heads before he went on to land his breakout role on The Secret World of Alex Mack alongside actress Larisa Oleynik.
Since then, he’s appeared in three episodes of Sister, Sister, as well as other series including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, E.R., Shameless, The Shield, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
