Dangerous stunt caught on camera
The viral video showed one man seated on the SUV’s windshield while two others clung to its doors. The vehicle performed loops around the roundabout to the Squid Games track playing in the background. The men appeared unconcerned about the danger their actions posed to themselves and others on the road.
Social media users condemned the stunt, highlighting the disregard for traffic and safety laws. The Noida Police reportedly responded by issuing a challan of Rs 33,000 to the vehicle owner. Violations included dangerous driving, absence of valid insurance, use of tinted glass, failure to wear seat belts, and disobedience of traffic laws.
A growing trend of risky stunts
This incident highlights a growing trend of dangerous stunts performed for social media fame. In a separate case in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, a man named Sheikh Bilal went viral for setting petrol on fire to spell “2024” on National Highway-2. This act, carried out for dramatic Instagram content, was met with widespread criticism and raised concerns about public safety.
In another instance, a resident of Mundali village in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, used his Mahindra Thar SUV for a high-speed stunt. Viral footage showed Intezaar Ali piling mud onto the vehicle’s roof before driving at high speed, creating a hazardous situation as mud scattered on the road.
Authorities have expressed concern over the rise in such incidents, with enforcement measures being tightened to address the safety risks posed by these stunts.
