One Piece chapter 1059: Delay and release date explained
One Piece manga chapter 1059 has been delayed from its traditional weekly release schedule and will therefore not be launching either domestically in Japan or internationally via online services this weekend as expected.
A specific reason for the delay was not shared, but mangaka Eiichiro Oda makes a habit of taking regular breaks in order to both maintain the quality of new chapters, but also the health of him and his production/distribution team.
The good news is that Viz Media has confirmed the new release date for One Piece chapter 1059 for Sunday, September 11th.
The latest instalment of the iconic manga series will be made available to read online from the following international times, per Manga Plus:
- Pacific Time – 8 AM
- Eastern Time – 11 AM
- British Time – 4 PM
- European Time – 5 PM
- India Time – 8:30 PM
- Philippine Time – 11 PM
- Australia Central Time – 12:30 AM (September 12th)

One Piece: Red continues to dominate domestic box office
Almost one month after its premiere in domestic cinemas, the One Piece: Red movie continues to dominate the Japanese box office.
As reported by Eiga and Pixiin, via Crunchyroll, the movie made over “1.209 billion yen (8.73 million USD) on 832,000 admissions” this week, that’s up 147.8% on last week’s showings.
The reason for this significant uptake four weeks into its theatrical run, as noted by Crunchyroll, is likely because a commemorative manga chapter was shared with cinemagoers who purchased new tickets for the film.

As shared by the official English One Piece Twitter page, it is now the 10th highest grossing anime film ever in Japan and is currently sitting at the 29th highest-grossing film in the nation’s box office history.

One Piece episode 1031 is now scheduled to release on Saturday, September 3rd in the US and on Sunday, September 4th for the majority of international viewers:
