There is a possible solution to the glove drama threatening the fight between Lucas Browne and Paul Gallen and it cost just $300.
There was a significant issue when Browne could not fit the custom-made sponsored gloves on his hands on Tuesday morning.
He had told boxing presented Ben Damon that the second pair he tried on were “very tight” but was still hopeful the fight would proceed, adding it was “the promoter’s problem.”

“The first ones I couldn’t even get on my hands — that’s without wraps or anything else,” Browne said.
“The second ones were very tight. This might be the start of my bare-knuckle career, you never know.”
Fortunately the issue appears to have been resolved with Damon revealing on Twitter that gloves are on their way but they are not certain they will fit.
It was reported by the Daily Telegraph that a $300 Uber ride could save the $2 million event after an Everlast official headed to Sydney Airport, got the new gloves shipped from Melbourne and then had them driven to Wollongong.
The big question that remains now though is whether they will end up fitting.
FENECH DECLARES BROWNE NEEDS A KO TO WIN
Gallen is confident of causing one of the biggest upsets in boxing history but three-time boxing world champion Jeff Fenech admits the former Sharks star has a “huge task” ahead of him.
“Gal is Gal, he’s going to go in there,” he told foxsports.com.au on Tuesday.
“He’s got a huge task. The other guy has got boxing pedigree, some boxing skill and it’s going to be hard.
“I think Gal has got to make him fight his fight, whoever can distinguish that in the first minute I think will be the winner.
“We’ll know in the first minute who is going to win the fight.
“I’m sure he’s not stupid, and the people around him couldn’t be that stupid.
“He’s got a huge risk of losing against a footballer.”

If Browne does emerge victorious though, Fenech is certain it “will be a knockout… without a doubt.”
“I think Lucas has to win by knockout to win the fight,” he added.
“Gal can punch as well, anyone in that division can.
“And Gal doesn’t punch you once, Gal punches you multiple times which is his real strength.”
The undercard also features a number of intriguing bouts.
“It’s a great undercard,” Fenech said.
“Liam Wilson might be the best boxer in Australian boxing, we’ve got Kye coming back and he’s beentraining his backside off, we’ve got Jack fighting Sparks which is going to be a great fight.
“It’s amazing what a show they’re going to put on.”
