A student on the Sunshine Coast has been arrested after a violent altercation involving a knife sent the high school into lockdown.
Police said they responded to a disturbance at Caloundra State High School at about 10am.
A male student sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A female student was taken into police custody.
Police investigations are underway. No further information is available.
The Queensland Department of Education said the school entered lockdown for one hour.
A spokesperson said counselling and support were available for staff and students.
