In recent years, sex robots have become popular with brothels offering the kinky bots for frisky people.
Now a porn star has opened up what she believes will be the future of sex.
Jamie Jett, 22, recently revealed she’s “addicted” to having virtual sex with herself.
The California-based adult actress claimed her fixation began after shooting an erotic scene for a virtual reality porn studio.
And now in an interview with Daily Star, the star discussed the future of sex predicting the society’s fascination with robots.
She took an aim at the viability of sex robots as she claimed the dolls aren’t as practical for many people.
Jamie said: “I highly doubt that sex robots will ever be a viable substitute for porn – especially in comparison to virtual reality.
“The future of sex tech is not a bulky, high-tech sex doll that we’ll need to hide when friends come over for a drink.
“Not to mention that it’s unlikely a designer humanoid robot will ever be widely affordable.”
The porn star claims that virtual reality technology is more likely to continue to be adopted as time goes on.
She added: “Instead, I’d put my money on the evolution of VR headsets and teledildonics.
“If people want to feel what porn stars feel, that’s going to be the best approximation.”
Jamie said that VR cam girls who perform on platforms are already using “smart” vibrators in their live one-on-one chats.
And she believes the remote tech is facing a huge demand for it.
She said. “Integrating remote-controlled sex toys with VR tech lets fans be virtually in bed with their favourite adult performer.
“This is what the viewer really wants.”
The porn star, who recently profiled in AVN magazine, says there’s an even greater advantage that VR has over sex robots.
She also questioned why anyone would choose a sex robot over a different lover on a daily basis through virtual reality.
Jamie explained: “In the Tinder age, wouldn’t we all rather have someone new and beautiful every night?
“Not to mention the possibility of VR to fulfill niche kinks.
“The furries and the centaur fetishists of the world will have the chance to be in the room with their fantasy partners.
“Sex with other humans is hard enough. Virtual reality gives physical sensation to your kinks and fantasies.”
She concluded: “Sex will always be as much about the mind as it is about the body.
“I know there’s no way to predict what the market will do in the future, especially when it comes to sex.
“But I’d invest in sexual VR tech over sex robots, no question.”
