Snow fell across New York City on Thursday, February 18, as a winter storm is set to leave heavy accumulation by nightfall, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. Approximately six inches of snow is expected to accumulate in New York City, Long Island, and parts of New Jersey, the NWS said. A winter weather advisory is in effect from Thursday morning until early Friday evening, February 19.
