I posted this in r/veterans, but it was removed by mods, so I’m posting here.
I’m looking to buy a house in either New Mexico or Arizona, which might be a multifamily home that I’ll rent or a new modular home. I would like all upfront fees rolled into the home loan. I’ve already applied at Watermark, VA United, and Guaranteed Rate.
I got an email from someone from Guaranteed Rate claiming that my application was incomplete (even though the website says otherwise) and stated that he wouldn’t pre-approve until the missing information is discussed. I asked him to let me know what’s missing via email, but he never replied. I rechecked my application and everything is complete on my end. Usually they don’t allow you to submit an application when information is missing. I think I’m better off not using them.
Today, I checked out credit Karma and saw that I was pre-approved for a loan with New American Funding and Sebonic Financial.. I don’t know much about either company, but apparently the latter had a lawsuit against them involving trade secrets. I was wondering if anyone had experience with either of these companies. The rates seem about the same that I’ve received from Watermark and VA United.
Also, are there any other companies that you would recommend that meet my criteria? I’m hoping to get a house ASAP so I’m not spending money on hotel rooms.
