Volkswagen owned Bentley Motors said record sales in 2021 resulted in operating profit of EUR389 million, EUR369 million more than in 2020.
Turnover last year reached EUR2.845 billion, up from EUR 2.049 billion in 2020, while an increased level of personalisation and a model mix dominated by pricey Speed, Mulliner and Hybrid models resulted in the average revenue per car rising 8% over 2020. Return on sales was 13.7%.
Unit sales rose 31% to 14,659.
Adrian Hallmark, chairman and CEO, said: “These results were achieved against a continued backdrop of economic uncertainty.”
