HT: RENNES 1-1 TOTTENHAM
Tottenham and Rennes are level at the Roazhon Park following a rough first half for the visitors.
Spurs opened the scoring with quite a dose of good fortune on 11 minutes when Tanguy Ndombele found Harry Kane with a brilliant back-heel before the north Londoners’ captain played Lucas Moura down the right flank.
Moura tried a low cross to the box and the ball deflected on Loic Bade, who scored an own goal as Romain Salin was caught by surprise.
The Rennais dominated the game’s tempo after that and got an equaliser after 23 minutes thanks to Flavien Tait’s incredible long-range effort.
Things got worse for Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo as Steven Bergwijn suffered an injury and was replaced by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
