JOHN EGAN has pointed Ireland towards better days, saying: To the Pyrenees and beyond!
Egan and Co. visit Andorra on Thursday for a friendly still looking for a first win since late 2019.
That run of 12 games — 11 new under boss Stephen Kenny — has knocked confidence.
Sheffield United man Egan said: “No matter who you play, you want to win.
Obviously we have not won in a while so we are eager to get that win.
“I believe that one win can give you the springboard to get a few more and that is the plan now.”
That awful run included two World Cup qualifying defeats to Serbia and Luxembourg in March.

Egan added: “It was not the start we wanted. But we’re still only two games in, anything can happen.
“We have got to focus on ourselves and we have got to go out there and try to get the results.
“You have to keep going no matter what the situation is, we have go to look at the next game and see what we can do. It’s going to be tough, there’s no doubt about that.
“We’re definite outsiders now but all we can do is look to the next game and try to get a result.”
