The Royal Mint has released a new series of coins to mark the Mr Men and Little Miss collection.
Six types of coins are up for grabs in three designs to mark the 50th anniversary of the popular children’s books.
It features characters including Mr Happy, Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Giggles and Mr Strong.
Some coins will have a coloured design and all of them won’t be going into general circulation.
Currently the cheapest coin is a £5 coin which will set you back £13.
The most expensive on the list is the £100 coin made out of gold, which has fetched for £2,370.
There will be “golden Mr Tickle tickets” hiding in 50 coins sets that customers can receive a prize bundle if they find one.
Adam Hargreaves, who is the son of the original creator and illustrator of the series Roger Hargreaves, designed the coins.
Clare Maclennan, the Royal Mint’s divisional director of commemorative coin, said: “With this year marking the 50th anniversary since the Mr Men Little Miss characters were introduced to the world, it felt right to celebrate the loveable characters on their own commemorative coins.”
You can check out the full collection by heading to the Royal Mint website.
Previously in other news, the Royal Mint announced the rarest 50p coins in circulation.
The list was released ahead of the 50th anniversary of decimalisation.
Currently, the famous Kew Gardens edition remains the most sought-after coin in circulation, with a mintage of just 210,000.
Other rare designs that are currently in circulation include Olympic-themed 50ps which were minted in 2011.
