SCARLETT Moffatt has revealed she and boyfriend Scott met after he responded to her emergency call for help.
The 30-year-old explained that police officer Scott Dobinson immediately caught her eye when he turned up on her doorstep.
Scarlett, who had already known Scott “for years”, was delighted to see the 36-year-old constable after he was sent to her home while on the beat.
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here winner had called the police because she felt scared after seeing a stranger outside taking photos.
She told The Mirror: “Scott came to the house. My friend was in the house with me at the time and I was like, ‘He’s so fit, I really fancy him’.
“She said, ‘Why don’t you just comment on a picture on Facebook?’ So I commented on a picture of him and his dog Toby and put, ‘Ah, cute… and the dog’.”
Scarlett admitted she’d “had a couple of drinks” when she made the bold move, and in the morning “couldn’t believe” what she’d done.
“But he commented back with a smiley face and we started chatting on Facebook Messenger,” she added. “We’d known each other for a long time.”
The former Gogglebox star said it took Scott “took long” to ask her out, and even when it happened – it didn’t all go to plan.
Speaking about the date on a recent podcast, she said: “Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong.
“The place we were going to eat at wasn’t open and he made a joke about taking me to McDonald’s which I didn’t know was a joke.
“He told me I reminded him of Albert Einstein, so I was like, ‘Nah, I think we’re just best as friends’.
“It was my mam that went, ‘I’ve got a good feeling, I think you should give him another chance’ – so I’m pleased she did.
“With Scott, obviously I fancy him, but he’s just a lovely person. It’s taken me a while to get used to not having drama.”
The Sun on Sunday revealed today how Scarlett’s mum Betty robbed her of £50,000 to fund her gambling habit.
