Earlier this week, Environment Oregon joined a webinar put on by the Oregon Ocean Alliance to discuss important coastal ecosystems, the problems they’re facing and key ocean conservation bills in the 2025 legislative session to address those problems. Over 50 advocates, experts and intrigued citizens attended the event to learn about two critical ecosystems found along Oregon’s coast: eelgrass meadows found in estuaries and rocky habitat areas.
Speakers shared insights on how these policies could strengthen ocean resilience, improve habitat management and help make our coast more resilient. Attendees also learned actionable ways to support ocean conservation efforts in the Beaver State.
If you didn’t get the chance to attend, you can find a recording of the event here.
