Several arrests were made at a pro-Palestinian rally in Berlin, held hours after an agreement between Israel and Hamas took effect on Sunday, halting the fighting in the Gaza Strip.
Participants had shouted prohibited anti-Semitic slogans and set off pyrotechnics, police said late on Sunday in a post on X, adding that 12 people had been arrested.
Media representatives covering the rally were reportedly insulted and obstructed while doing their job.
Several hundred people gathered to celebrate developments in the Middle East conflict.
Police said the rally was called off prematurely by the organizer after consulting with the police, just before 8 pm (1900 GMT).
Over the weekend, multiple pro-Palestinian demonstrations took place across Berlin.
On Saturday, several hundred people protested against arms deliveries to Israel and expressed solidarity with those in Gaza. The police reported criminal offenses at these events as well.
