Nadia Bokody has been testing the waters since coming out as gay.
Following a difficult break-up, the sexpert has started dating again.
While there’s the excitement of meeting new people again, the writer admits she’s got herself into some awkward situations in recent weeks.
After being encouraged by her friends to “get under someone to get over someone”, she ended up having the “worst sex ever with a stranger”.
The cringe-worthy moment happened after Nadia met up with her date for cocktails and food.
Sparks were flying and the pair headed back to her apartment to get down to business.

But unfortunately when they arrived, the mood was quickly ruined.
In her news.com.au column, Nadia explained: “From the moment things get going, it’s clear we’re moving at different speeds. I’m a sailboat cautiously coasting into shore, and she’s a freight train racing to her end destination.
“We become engaged in a clumsy sexual power struggle; both vying for the role of pace setter. At one point, I attempt to pull her in for a kiss as she’s throwing her head in the opposite direction and we clash; her hair entangling itself around my nose piercing as she jerks away…
“I excuse myself to the bathroom in an attempt to regather and return to the bedroom to find her fully dressed, grabbing her wallet and keys off my nightstand.”
After her date hurries out the door, Nadia is relieved when she doesn’t get a text or call.

But in a twist of fate, she ends up running into the woman again at an LGBTQ event.
Nadia recalled: “We’ve barely walked through the door when I glance across the room and see her: the woman I had terrible sex with. The bar is way too small to go the entire night without running into one another, so I decide to just face my humiliation head on, and approach her.”
Despite their tense tryst, the pair decided to give things another go.
And surprisingly, their second sex session went a lot better.

After “talking first” and clearing the air, they were able to have “sex without ego or inhibitions”.
Then for their third romp three days later, they’d finally cracked the magic formula.
Nadia says the awkward experience shows how you can turn a disappointing night into “spectacular” sex when you have the right communication skills.
She said: “Perhaps that’s what great sex is all about. Not physical chemistry, or instant red-hot sparks, but vulnerability and connection.
“Even if that means getting your nose piercing caught in someone’s hair and stumbling through a bit of good old-fashioned humiliation to get there!”
