GOOD EVENING
And welcome to the live blog for Sheffield United vs Liverpool!
Chris Wilder’s Sheffield welcome Premier League champions Liverpool to Bramall Lane and his side sit rock bottom of the league with just 13 games left.
Liverpool are, however, on a poor run of form losing four of their last five Premier League fixtures.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have conceded defeat in the bid to retain the Premier League title.
And rivals Manchester City look likely to win it.
A win for Liverpool tonight keeps their top-four hopes alive, with the reds currently five points adrift of West Ham.
If Wilder’s men manage to pull off a win, they’ll take their Premier League points tally to 14 – still 12 points off Newcastle in 17th.
In terms of team news, Liverpool’s injury list got longer with captain Jordan Henderson being ruled out until April.
And he joins the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, James Milner, and Fabinho on the injury list.
Summer signing Diogo Jota is nearing a return and could play a part tonight, most likely from the bench.
As for Sheffield, John Egan, Jack O’Connell and Chris Basham are all injured.
Sander Berge and forward Lys Mousset also remain out for the Blades.
The teamsheets are due to be released in half an hour, so don’t go anywhere!
