A young woman was left giggling when she received a tiny version of the rug she ordered online.
Dublin lass Saoirse Schofield received a minuscule version of the rug she ordered for her room after recently moving house.
Opening up on the error, she said: “I knew as soon as the package arrived that something wasn’t right. I was expecting a full side rug that was the same length as a bed.
“Looking at the size of the parcel that arrived and how light it felt when I picked it up, I knew it couldn’t possibly be the right size.
“After opening the package I just burst out laughing. I thought this is ridiculous. I couldn’t believe how small it was.”

Saoirse says she was trying to furnish her new room, which was a bit of an odd shape, after recently moving house.
She thought she’d found a bargain after seeing the rug that seemed to be the perfect shape for her room at just £5.
The graphic design student continued: “My new room is narrow but really long. When I saw this rug online I thought it would be perfect for my room to go along the floor next to my bed.
“In the picture on the website it clearly looks like a full-sized rug as it goes along the edge of the bed in the picture, which is exactly how I wanted it to go in my room.
“I loved the rug as I thought it would break up the wooden floor and add a nice texture to my room. I also loved the neutral colours of it.”
Saoirse said she ordered the rug from brand Shein.
She added: “I have ordered clothes from them before and they have always been fine, so I thought ordering a rug from there too was safe.”
Saoirse said the website listed the rug as 120 by 40, which she assumed was in inches, judging by the picture.
However, these measurements were actually in centimetres.
She exclaimed: “It is tiny. It just looks like a piece of material that has been cut off from the rug. I thought it was going to be about four times bigger than what arrived.”
Saoirse said she’s been able to see the funny side of the situation though as she didn’t spend much money on it.
She said she’s going to keep it as it’s “really soft and fluffy” and then she’ll find a rug that will actually fit.
Also, she wants to keep the material as a hilarious reminder.
Talking about online shopping in future, Saoirse said she will definitely be more careful.
