Fans of store Home Bargains were left distracted when checking out a new item from the retailer.
In fact, some even joked that someone should “be in prison” after spotting the photo of the new lamp online.
The retailer keeps its shoppers updated on its homeware and fashion items through social media.
Taking to its Facebook page this week, the Home Bargains account shared a photo, originally posted by self-proclaimed “cleaning addict” Leanne of Instagram account @110renovation, of its Ports of Call by Jeff Banks: Rattan Table Lamp.
However, its followers quickly focused on something else, according to Liverpool Echo.
Alongside the photo of the lamp, the retailer wrote: “The type of Sunday set up we love to see – a brew and our gorgeous rattan lamp.
“Thanks 110renovation on Instagram for sharing!”
However, it wasn’t the rattan lamp that shoppers were paying attention to, but the cup of tea shown alongside it instead.
While some praised the £12.99 lamp, others couldn’t help but comment on the cup of tea shown in the photo.
Among the comments, one shopper said: “You need less milk in that tea though…”
While a second wrote: “That tea looks a bit weak”.
A third asked: “Who made that tea? Arrest them!”.
While a fourth quipped: “Whoever made that tea should be in prison”.
Home Bargains also hit headlines recently for selling an 8ft swimming pool for just £19.99.
Those wanting to enjoy a cool dip can enjoy the Star Buys item which is available to buy in Home Bargain stores nationwide.
Let’s hope the sun will return so people can actually use it again.
