I’m under contract for a house and I’m scheduled to close in 3 weeks. The house is pretty big 3k sqft w/ upstairs and finished basement.
Well the upstairs toilet hose somehow got disconnected and sprayed water in the house for at least a few days (2-3)
The house was being sold for 185k comps are about 180-200 and was built in 69. Would damage like this be restorable within a decent amount of time as well as be safe from mold and rotting wood (2-3 months)? I was planning to Reno the whole house at some point anyways since it’s a bit older but now idk if that’s even an option.
Should there be some sort of concession or something added to the purchase contract in regards to this damage?
