THE BRITISH Ironwork Centre will be supported by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce after it launched a crisis appeal for medical supplies for Ukraine.
Clive Knowles, the chairman of the British Ironwork Centre, Oswestry, met with Richard Sheehan, chief executive of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to discuss urgent medical needs for Ukraine.
After a successful campaign to collect donations, the Ironworks wanted to reach out to Shropshire businesses to collect medical supplies.
Many people, across the UK, are supplying medical supplies to the war-torn country.
Mr Knowles said: “These supplies are critically needed, and it simply requires us all to offer our greatest efforts to assist, in the fastest way possible.
“The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is without a doubt one of Shropshire’s most highly regarded organisations and having their support is incredibly important.
“I’m deeply indebted to Richard and his team for stepping forward and reacting so quickly.
“I feel blessed to have the chamber onboard.”
The centre will be open 24 hours a day and will be receiving donations until March 24.
The aid will then be driven to Poland.
