TRAFFIC near Oswestry is returning to normal after a car caught fire on Wednesday (February 9) morning.
The fire broke out close to the Aston junction shortly before 11am and saw one crew from the town attend and use two hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze.
The car was destroyed.
A spokesperson for Oswestry Fire Station said: “Police requested to attend for traffic management and recovery of the vehicle.”
The road has now been cleared and the vehicle recovered.
Earlier in the morning shortly before 10am, firefighters from Oswestry were called to a false alarm in Pant which was caused by controlled burning.
Advice was given to those responsible.
