Britain’s Got Talent returned to our screens this week, but unfortunately it seems that all viewers have been able to talk about is Simon Cowell’s face.
Following the first episode, one person tweeted: “What’s happened to Simon cowell?? Is his face ok??”
Meanwhile, another said: “What has actually happened to Simon Cowell’s face?”
But what work has Simon actually had done? Does the talent mogul and TV judge actually have as many fillers as fans are speculating? Here is everything we know…
Has Simon Cowell got fillers?
In a recent interview with The SunSimon revealed that although he did have fillers at one point, he is completely done with them now.

“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far,” he said. His realisation came when he saw a picture of himself from “before” and “didn’t recognise it.”
Even Simon’s eight year-old son Eric began to get scared, and Simon explained that his face looked “like something out of a horror film.”
He said: “Eric was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
Although there was a phase where “everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other,” Simon explained that he now focuses on healthy eating “and drinking tonnes of water.”
What has Simon Cowell said about botox?
In a 2008 interview with GlamourSimon stated that to him “Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste.”
He said: “It works, you do it once a year – who cares?”
In the same interview, Simon also admitted to wearing platform heels that are “an inch high, maybe,” but affirmed that he would “never” dye his hair.
In 2019, Simon spoke to The Mirror about watching old BGT episodes. “I love watching ‘the Botox years’. All of us are like, ‘Christ, we had a lot that year. Not so much that year… maybe a bit too much that year’.”
The year before, Simon had undergone a non-surgical “sewing bioplastic-infused thread” face-lift. He told The Sun:
“There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox. It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap.”
Simon set to marry long-term girlfriend
In December, Simon proposed to girlfriend Lauren Silverman, who is also the mother of his son, Eric. The couple have been together for 13 years.
Simon proposed to Lauren whilst they were on a family holiday to Barbados. During the proposal, Eric, and Lauren’s son from her previous marriage, Adam, were present.
While Lauren tends to stay away from the spotlight, in 2015 she told Hello! magazine: “I think Simon has changed me. He makes me laugh all the time. I can’t get angry with him because when I’m trying to be cross, he just makes me laugh.”
