Simon Mee was the victim of the ultimate blindside when he was voted out of Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn on Tuesday night.
The brutal new alliance saw Simon get his torch snuffed at tribal council, sending him home with two immunity idols in his pocket.
It was a bitter ending for the Survivor super fan who was unshakable only moments before the vote sent him home.

The 31-year-old carpenter overheard Baden setting up the ousting with George and Cara, only to confidently interrupt him.
‘You guys want to say something? Sorry Baden, I didn’t mean to interrupt,’ Simon said.
As host Jonathan read out the votes it still didn’t seem to dawn on Simon that he would be going home, as rivals Dani and Flick were thought to have the numbers.

‘Blindside! I must be one of the first people to leave with not one but two idols in my back pocket,’ Simon said.
‘You are correct,’ host Jonathan LaPaglia confirmed.
Simon then left with a wave after his fire was ceremoniously put out.

Simon seemed to still be in high-spirits following the loss during an interview with Channel Ten.
‘Oh man, I definitely wanted to break some records, but that wasn’t one I had in mind. I think it will be a memorable episode,’ he told the network.
Simon added it was heartbreaking when he realised that Chelsea and Dani had turned on him, part of his own alliance.

‘They were my closest alliance since day one. It’s never a fun thing to realise,’ he added.
‘It’s one thing for your tribe to blindside you, but then it’s another thing for your alliance to turn on you.’
