An unusual post-sex product has hit the market which claims to make “clean up” easier.

The dripstick is a medical grade sponge on a stick which is made to be inserted into the vagina after doing the deed.

The website claims it will help prevent awkward wet patches on the bed caused by ejaculate.

And, it supposedly means there’s no need for the awkward shimmy to the loo after an afternoon’s lovemaking.

The listing, on site Awkwardessentials, said: “dripstick is the first after-sex clean up product of its kind.

“It’s a sponge made out of soft, medical grade material and will quickly mop up all the excess fluids so you can move on with your day (or night)!”

Genius creation or redundant product – what do you think? Tell us in the comments…

It also lists that the dripstick promises “quick absorption” and has no additives.

The instructions for use read: “Grip the handle with one hand.

“While seated, slowly and carefully insert sponge into vaginal canal.

“Maintain a grip on the handle.

“Gently swirl and twist sponge while inserted in the vaginal canal.

“Use the handle to slowly and carefully remove the sponge from the vaginal canal.”

And, it seems people in the reviews love the item.

One woman said: “I saw these in a Facebook ad. They seemed a bit like a joke.

“I didn’t feel like I had a ‘problem’ that needed to be fixed, but the reviews had piqued my interest.

“Well, I have to say that they worked better than I had anticipated.

“That squishy, drippy feeling was gone.”

“Who knew just a simple little sponge could change my intimacy game just like that,” added another. “We women NEED this.

“I am so glad I went with the 20 count box instead of just testing it out, because I’m not every doin the deed without having these babies in stock.”

A third commented: “These are amazing in all the right ways for exactly what they say!

“This helps keep my lady parts in check since after sex my PH would get out of whack because of my boyfriend’s sperm.

“Life changing, seriously!”

But, over on a viral TikTok video not everyone was so impressed.

In the comments, one person said: “They’re a redundant product.

“Good jokes though.”

Another wrote: “Can’t you just push it out?”

And, a third said: “This feels extremely similar to those Pinky gloves… good luck.”

Awkwardessentials reminded users that the dripstick will not prevent STIs or pregnancy and you should always use the loo after sex to prevent a UTI.
