Fundraiser raises funds to provide safe travels for children to Driscoll Children’s Hospital
CUERO, Texas – The annual South Texas Cattlemen’s RoundUp is a fundraiser held by 4-H and FFA students that ensures children are safely taken to the Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
This year, the annual fundraiser will be held on Friday, July 30, at the Friar Ag Center, Anne Friar Homemaking Building, 501 Airport Drive in Cuero, at 6 p.m. Members from the DeWitt 4-H Clubs and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be present to help raise funds.
The proceeds for this year will go toward the Critical Care Transport Department to support the safe travels of children in South Texas, who require medical treatment.
The Cattlemen’s RoundUps are sponsored by Lyssy & Eckel Feeds and held throughout Driscoll’s 31-county service area. Participants include local 4-H clubs, Future Farmers of America chapters, county extension agents and businesses. These organizations donate goods and services to auction off for the hospital. Visitors will have their choice of homemade baked goods, handmade items, farm and ranch items and more.
