ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 298.70/299.10 to the US dollar in the spot market Wednesday, weaker from 297.65/80 to the US dollar Tuesday, while bond yields were slightly down, dealers said.
Stocks were up 1.11 percent.
An auction of 155,000 million rupees of Treasury bills was ongoing.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 9.15/20 percent, down from 9.20/30 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2027 was quoted flat at 9.80/90 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at 10.10/18 percent, down from 10.16/20 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 was quoted at 10.75/85 percent, down from 10.80/90 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2030 was quoted at 11.30/40 percent, up from 11.28/35 percent. (Colombo/Jan22/2025)
