ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka renewable energy firm Vidullanka has commissioned its 2MW Horana solar power project – phase II, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
The plant is expected to generate 3.6 GWh of clean energy and supply to the national grid.
The project was implemented through Vidul Solar Power (Pvt) Limited, a fully owned subsidiary.
Vidullanka voting shares were trading flat at 14.70, non-voting shares flat at 13.00.
The company has seen its outlook improve following the government’s decision to market price electricity and a commitment to grow the share of renewables in the grid to 70%. (Colombo/Aug18/2025)
