Stacey Solomon has defended her decision to wear her pyjamas while dropping her kids off at school.
The Loose Women star, 30, was hit with harsh criticism from disapproving fans who branded her “lazy” for not getting dressed on Thursday morning.
The proud mum-of-three took to her Instagram Stories to serve the social media trolls a sassy response when she arrived home after taking her sons Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, to school.
Still wearing her pyjamas, the defiant telly star revealed she had been bombarded with nasty comments from followers who claimed that they “felt sorry” for Stacey’s children because their mother was “too lazy” to get dressed.
“Just back from the school run,” Stacey began, as she cheerfully wished her two million followers a good morning.

“For anyone really concerned about my poor children whose mum takes them to school in her pyjamas, don’t worry, they were my posh pyjamas.
“I actually felt really dressed up today for the school run,” the star laughed.
She continued to defend her outfit choices, adding: “There was a time when people would wear this outfit out.

“I remember the pyjama trend. You’d wear pyjamas with a pair of heels and it was a going out outfit.
“So, why not wear it on the school run? I don’t even get out of the car, nobody sees me.”
Stacey’s defiant response divided fans as they took to Twitter to debate the topic.
“People need to chill out, oh my goodness, we’re in a pandemic. Nothing matters anymore. Let her wear what she wants,” voiced one fan.
“I see mum’s wearing PJs every day of the bloody week. Her’s were red carpet-worthy compared to some of the tragic ones I see on the regular,” another echoed.

Meanwhile, a third debated: “To be fair, she could have just got dressed. I mean, she has a full face of make-up on and false eyelashes too.”
A fourth fan chimed: “Yeah they’re nice PJs but wear them at home.”
