A Russian actress who illegally visited Crimea to take part in the filming of a TV show has been banned from entering Ukraine for three years.

Glafira Tarkhanova was denied entry to Ukraine after State Border Guard’s discovered she had entered Crimea in 2020 during routine control measures.

She was accused of entering the peninsula under a visa of entry and exit, but stayed to take part in the shooting of a TV show.

The 37-year-old allegedly filmed Nepotoplyayemaya while in Crimea, in which she played the main part, 112 International has claimed.

In a statement, Ukraine’s State Border Guard said: “The Russian actress, who illegally visited the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, was found by the State Border Guard Service at the Boryspil airport.

“The foreign woman flew to Ukraine yesterday on a flight from Istanbul.”

They added: “She entered the peninsula with the violation of the procedure of entry and exit.

“According to the available information, she took part in the shooting of TV show called Nepotoplyayemaya (figurative Russian adjective, means “rock-solid”, – 112 International); she played the main part.”

Russia and Ukraine engaged in conflict in February 2014 when Russian authorities attempted to take control of the Ukrainian regions of Crimea and Donbass.

The dispute was followed by the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation in mid-March and claimed it had become fully integrated as of 2015.

Conflict has been present in the region ever since, with the most recent ceasefire beginning in in July 2020, leading to strict rules about who can and cannot enter the region.
