A suburban New Orleans hospital marked the 10,000th successful COVID recovery at their facility – as well as their one-year anniversary of admitting coronavirus patients – on Monday, March 8, with a jazz band performance. Miriam Bertrand, a 72-year-old resident of Kenner, Louisiana, was treated to a jubilant send-off from the band and staff as she was discharged from Ochsner Medical Center. Bertrand was admitted to the hospital on March 4 after experiencing shortness of breath, fever, and fatigue, according to Ochsner Health. Bertrand left the hospital on Monday, joining more than 10,000 other COVID-19 patients discharged from Ochsner Health, the hospital said.
