Sydney Swans AFL player Elijah Taylor has pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting his ex-partner at a Perth hotel earlier this month.
Taylor made his first appearance in the Perth magistrates court, with his lawyer Seamus Rafferty.
He replied “guilty” when asked how he pleaded to one charge of unlawfully assaulting the woman and causing her bodily harm in circumstances of aggravation on September 13 at a hotel in Perth’s CBD.
A pre-sentence report has been ordered and he is due to reappear in court again on December 2 for sentencing.
His bail was extended until then.
Taylor left court with his lawyer and did not say anything to the waiting media.
