An 18-year-old girl in the United States who was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint has been found along with her reported kidnapper more than 1,000 miles away from where she was taken.
Nicole Martinez from Pembroke Pines, Florida, US, was allegedly kidnapped by Jaddier Sanchez, 37, from outside her home on Sunday morning.
Pembroke Pines police say they were notified at 12.40am on Monday by the Virginia State Police that both had been found in Alexandria, Virginia, driving a 2007 Dodge Ram.
Since being found, Martinez has been taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries and Sanchez has now been arrested, police added.
The force also said that Martinez was taken with her parents on Sunday from outside of their home in the 900 block of SW 147th Avenue in Pembroke Pines after returning home around 12.30am.

Police say the suspect, Sanchez forced the family of three into a pickup truck that belongs to one of the parents.
Sanchez, police say, drove them to various banks to withdraw money from the ATM’s before driving to Palm Beach County where he left both parents on the side of the road in Belle Glade.
He then left in the stolen pickup truck without releasing Nicole, who according to police was being held against her will.
It is reported Sanchez has previously spent time in prison for aggravated stalking and has convictions for domestic violence and violating a restraining order.
Police say the parents know Sanchez through their daughter but did not go into any further detail.
South Florida Sentinel reports that the force believes Martinez and Sanchez “shared a romantic relationship”.
