Telesat has named Donald Tremblay as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer replacing Andrew Browne who had previously announced he would be retiring.
Tremblay will assume the position on October 20, 2025. Telesat said Tremblay has over 35 years of experience and was most recently CFO of Champion Iron. He’s also been CFO at and Brookfield Renewable.
Telesat added that Tremblay has financial expertise and leadership “in high-growth, capital intensive industries. He has deep experience in equity and debt capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and risk management.”
At Champion Iron Telesat said Tremblay “was responsible for managing the company’s finances and treasury, playing an important role in positioning the company to successfully execute its operating and growth strategies.”
