Here’s Triumph Hurdle thoughts:
Templegate: VAUBAN (Nb – next best bet) got no luck in running when a close second to Pied Piper on debut at Leopardstown and can get his revenge here. Willie Mullins’ youngster stepped into Grade 1 company to run away with the red-hot Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown ahead of another of today’s rivals Fil Dor.
Matt: Vauban will be very hard to beat in the opening Triumph Hurdle. However, I’m having a few quid each-way on FIL DOR for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy. I have a feeling a strong gallop will suit this stayer and he can get closer to Vauban than he did at Leopardstown last time.
