Torrential rainfall didn’t stop high school cross-country teams from completing a race in Houston, Texas, on October 1, with the runners braving floodwaters. The National Weather Service issued numerous flash flood warnings for the Houston region, and later in the afternoon reported the storms were “mostly” out of the area.
