[Texas] How concerned should I be over what looks to be poorly done pier and beam foundation? : RealEstate

Hey Everyone,

I hope this is the right place to post this. I am a first time home buyer purchasing a home built in the 1950s in North Texas. The inspector flagged some potential issues with the pier and beam foundation. I have no idea what I am looking at but it would seem that the beam should not be that far off the pier. Is this a significant issue that needs to be fixed immediately? Is this eventually going to fail?
